SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT, MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING

We aim to empower local groups by helping them develop world-class tourism services that foster sustainable business practices. Our focus is on ensuring that tourism in rural Mongolia not only supports economic growth but also preserves natural and cultural heritage. This encompasses:

  • Cultural Heritage Management Plans: Developing preservation strategies for significant cultural, paleontological and archaeological sites such as Shar Tsav, Hurdet Caves, and Flaming Cliffs.

  • Tourism Master Planning: Creating comprehensive tourism plans for provinces like Hovd and Umnogobi, which include sustainable tourism strategies.

CAPACITY BUILDING TRAININGS

We focus on building local capacity through Eco-Tourism Training Programs. In collaboration with the Mongol Ecology Center, Ikh Nart Protected Area, Lake Hovsgol National Park, Hustai Nuruu Nature Reserve, and the South Gobi Tourism Association, we have conducted a series of eco-tourism training workshops for local community groups, tourism companies, and park rangers in provinces such as Hovsgol, Gobisumber, South Gobi, Hovd, Bayan-Olgii, and Uvs.

These training programs are designed to equip local communities with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop sustainable tourism services, ensuring that they can thrive economically while preserving the environment and cultural heritage.

PROTECTED AREAS MANAGEMENT

We are committed to enhancing the management of Mongolia’s protected areas by installing signage that meets international standards. Our goal is to lead protected areas management in the right direction and improve the overall visitor experience.

This initiative includes developing signage for hiking trails, such as those along the Selbe River - Tsokhiot Khad and Khagyn Khar Lake. By improving trail markers and informational signage, we aim to promote responsible tourism and support conservation efforts.
